Choosing a Real Estate Agent

Buying a home requires making many important decisions, navigating through complex issues and lots and lots of paperwork. It helps to have an agent in your corner when making such a large purchase......probably the most important purchase of your life.  I can walk you through the entire process from start to finish.  An agent can also help do the looking for you to make sure that you are seeing all available properties as soon as they hit the market.  In some cases, even before.  Who does not want that edge in a busy market?

Some things consider when choosing your real estate agent:

  • Look for a full-time agent – one who has experience completing transactions similar to what you are looking for.  Someone who is fully committed to what it takes to successfully get you where you need to be.

  • Is the agent you are considering familiar with the area in which you are interested?

  • Find out what hours they work.  Are available at night and on weekends?

  • Ask out about their experience and education.  Your agent should be continuously learning what is current and changing in the market and educating themselves to gain the knowledge and improve in their field.

  • What is their turn-around time for responses and what is the best way to get in touch with them?

  • Trust your gut and ask questions if you need clarification.  A good agent will be patient and attentive to your concerns and questions.
